The Town of Chase City seeking qualified applicants for the position of meter reader. Applicant will perform a variety of meter reading tasks and a variety of maintenance work of water and sewer facilities.  Applicant will perform meter reading tasks as generated by the water billing department at the Town Office.  Applicant will repair and perform maintenance of water meters and other related tasks are required.    Applicants will have or be eligible to obtain a Virginia Commercial Driver’s License.  Applicant must have a high school diploma or GED. Applicant can obtain a job description and employment application by contacting the Town Office at (434) 372-5136 or the information can be obtained on the Town website under downloads.  Applications must be submitted no later than 5 pm on October 9, 2020.

Small Business Grant Program

The Rebuild VA Grant Fund is a program to help small businesses and non-profits whose normal operations were disrupted by COVID-19, including restaurants, brick and mortar retail, exercise and fitness facilities, personal care and personal grooming services, entertainment and public amusement establishments, and campgrounds.
Businesses and non-profits that are approved for a Rebuild VA grant may receive up to 3 times their average monthly eligible expenses up to a maximum of $10,000. 
Linda Tackett, Regional Lending Manager for the Virginia Small Business Financing Authority in the Department of Small Business & Supplier Diversity, will present an overview of the Grant Fund’s updated eligibility criteria to receive funds, the eligible expenses to be covered by the funding and the documents required for submission with an application for funding. She will also answer questions at the conclusion of her presentation.

Fall Clean-up Week

Fall Clean up is right around the corner! The town will be conducting our annual Fall Clean Up the week of October 12-16. Please have your brush and debris out during this week that we have dedicated to keeping Chase City clean and clear of debris and junk.
We will NOT be taking batteries, tires, paint or corrosives, you must dispose of those yourself at the regional landfill. If you have any questions, contact the Town Shop at 372-3220.
