Spring Clean Up Week

The town will be conducting our annual Spring Clean Up the week of April 18-22. Please have your brush and debris out during this week that we have dedicated to keeping Chase City clean and clear of debris and junk.

 

We will NOT be taking batteries, tires, paint or corrosives, you must dispose of those yourself at the regional landfill. If you have any questions, contact the Town Shop at 372-3220.

The Town of Chase City is seeking applicants for the position of PRN Records Clerk at the Chase City Police Department.  Applicants should have knowledge of clerical skills and experience with computers.  Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.  May have to work some holidays.  Some dispatching involved.

Beginning today, a company will be in Town changing out water meters. The trucks will have a sign that says VEPS working for Chase City on the side. Your water will be off for approximately 10 - 15 minutes when they change out your water meter.

CLEANUP WEEK

FRIDAY will be the last day we will be picking up for cleanup week.  Please have everything at the curb by 7:00 A.M. FRIDAY MORNING.
 
All citizens are encouraged to clean up their yard of unwanted debris. During the week of April 26 -30, 2021 the Town will provide AT NO CHARGE curbside pickup of limbs, debris, discarded appliances, etc. Limbs and brush need to be separated from other debris and bundled into lengths of 5 feet and no more than 30lb per bundle.
MAKE SURE ANYTHING PUT OUT FOR PICK UP DOES NOT BLOCK THE STREET AND DO NOT PUT ANY ITEMS IN THE STREET!
NO household garbage, paint, chemicals, tires or batteries will be picked up.

Citizens are asked to have the items curbside not later than 7:00 am Monday morning, April 26, 2021 for this free service.
